How to Place an International Call

With Twigby Mobile, you can call international landline and mobile numbers. As a reminder, international calling requires that you place these calls from within Twigby’s U.S. coverage area.

Calling Canada and the Caribbean

For calls to Canada, Bermuda, and Mariana Islands, these calls do not require 011 or a country code. You would follow the steps below:

  1. Enter the 10-digit phone number
  2. Press Send

After making the call, you will hear one of the following messages:

  • If the number entered is to an approved international destination, the caller will hear: “Please hold while we connect your call.” Don’t worry, the number that is shown to the person you’re calling is your phone number.
  • If the number entered is valid, but not on the approved destination list, the caller will hear: “This service does not allow calls to the number you have entered.”
  • If the number entered is not valid, the caller will hear: “The number you entered is not valid”

If you get either one of the invalid messages, you will be taken back to the first voice prompt 3 times before the call is disconnected.

Calling All Other Countries

For all other international calls, you will need their country code. To call all other countries, you would follow the steps below:

  1. Dial 011
  2. Dial country code
  3. Dial phone number

We hope this free feature brings you closer to your friends and family in over 80 countries.
